Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I hope you can feel my excitement through your screen because OH MY GOODNESS! This wedding was truly amazing!! Robyn & Jonathan choose a STUNNING venue- the Avon Old Farms Hotel in Avon, Connecticut! That's right- I flew to Connecticut to shoot this wedding and I am SO glad I did! Everything about their day was beautiful and joyful!! 

Robyn had such beautiful details! Her florals were SO gorgeous- and she had hers wrapped with some of her Mom's veil from her wedding! Love special details like this!! Jonathan works at a jewelry store, and oh my goodness is her ring spectacular!

Their ceremony was SO beautiful! The Avon Old Farms Hotel has quite a few amazing spots for a ceremony- but this vine-covered pergola was PERFECTION! Her pick of watermelon bridesmaids dresses made them seriously pop off the greenery! And how adorable are their daughters as the flower girls!?! 

NOW, for my FAVORITE part of the day- the Bride & Groom portraits!! We took all of their photos in the back portion of the Avon Old Farms Hotel- seriously how beautiful is it here?!

Central Virginia Wedding || An Avoca Museum Wedding

Guys. I swore I wasn't ready for Fall. I wanted to cling onto summer for as long as possible. Soak up every last sun ray and time in the pool. And then this weekend happened.  A weekend that hit us with cooler temps and a slight breeze and it was magical.  It was the exact taste of autumn that I needed.  To shoot a wedding and it not be sweltering, everyone wasn't sweating and dying- it was perfect.  

Jerry & Holly had a beautiful, intimate ceremony at The Avoca Museum in Central Virginia.  It's a beautiful museum, full of gorgeous, green gardens, intimate little spots, and history.  It was the perfect spot for their families to join- Holly's from this area, and Jerry's all the way from Texas.  They had the county touches added in with the gorgeous museum to make it a truly unique to them wedding! 

Holly did the sweetest first look with her Mom and her Dad! Totally made me tear up!!

When couples get together and can laugh with (and at- haha) each other- I just LOOOOOOOVE it! Alex & Elana are the cutest together- and they totally look at each other with complete love and joy! After a few kisses, Elana noticed that Alex had some of her lipstick on and was laughing so hard! It was adorable!! 

These two braved out a warm, warm warm, August evening at the Riverside Park in Lynchburg, Virginia and they didn't complain once and I totally loved my time with them! We walked all around this beautiful park and got some amazing shots!!

Eeeek! I love this family session! Dan & Mariah were visiting family for the weekend- and lucky for me we were able to head out for some photos of their beautiful family!  They are so cute- I swear it's IMPOSSIBLE to take a bad picture of this family!!  

We headed down to Percival's Island in downtown Lynchburg and had such a blast! The light was PERFECT- and I am seriously obsessed with their outfit choices! I LOVE mixing and matching patterns- and they did such an excellent job of not 'matching' but choosing colors within the patterns that go well together!

saying a final goodbye to our sweet pup: a personal post

If you've noticed it's been a bit quiet around here this week, it's true.  We sadly had to put our sweet dog, Linus, down last week.  He had been pretty sick for a while, but it is still so heart breaking.  Michael got Linus as a small little pup.  I typically try to keep things lighthearted and fun around here, so forgive me, but I just wanted to share. 

After making the appointment with the vet, we decided to make sure we had one last great night with him- something we could always talk about with Emmie, so we headed to one of our favorite local parks, Peaksview Park, in Lynchburg, Virginia.  Our sweet friend, Miranda, came with us and we enjoyed a nice walk, and even got Linus in the water- one of his very favorite things to do.  

Linus was the biggest pain in the butt, but also the sweetest dog ever.  We truly loved him and have some of the best memories with him over the last 8 years! 

I truly had no idea how difficult this would be- we are seriously missing a piece of our family.  So thankful for the time we had with him- even when he was chewing up my furniture and digging through our basement door (a story for another day! ha).
