Sorella Farms Wedding in Lynchburg, Virginia || Gabe & Meghan's Central Virginia Wedding

Gabe & Meghan's Sorella Farms wedding day was so beautiful! It was a GORGEOUS fall day, the colors were starting to turn on the trees and their ceremony location overlooked the gorgeous mountains! Meghan is one of those brides that I wish I could clone. She's so sweet, super laid back, and truly lived in the joyful moments of her wedding day! 

Sorella Farms in Evington- right outside of Lynchburg- is such a gorgeous venue! Their Bridal Suite and getting ready room is the perfect space to hang out with your wedding party and get ready! Gabe & Meg's ceremony was STUNNING overlooking the Blue Ridge Parkway! Right after the ceremony, the sky started turning dark gray and we quickly changed the timeline to get some photos of them together before it started to downpour. We moved SO fast and got through all of their couple portraits- just in time for the sun to come back out for family and wedding party portraits AND sunset photos with Gabe & Meg.  

Their reception in the Sorella Farms barn is gorgeous! Their reception space is so elegant and classy with draped white fabric, twinkle lights, and gold mirrors on the barn doors. It's gorgeous! 

Congratulations Gabe & Meg! We're so excited for you guys as you begin life together!

Cat's Bridal: Bedford, Virginia Bridal Portraits

It was POURING as I drove out to meet Cat and her Mom at The Historic Avenel in Bedford, Virginia. Is there a word for more than pouring? Because that's exactly what it felt like! I was certain I was going to make it to the venue and we would have to reschedule, or do all the photos inside. The Avenel is beautiful inside, so we could have totally made it work, but the outside is beyond gorgeous! But, oh my goodness, it was meant to be because as I pulled onto Avenel Avenue, the rain stopped and the sun started shining! It turned into a beautiful evening- not too warm, the light! It was a night meant to be photographed! I loved it! Cat looked absolutely gorgeous in her bridal gown, and we had so much fun around the gorgeous property!

10 years of Marriage

Wow- writing that out makes me feel so super old! I cannot believe it's already been ten years! Looking back, at some points it seems like it has flown by, but of course at the same time also seems like forever some moments too! ;) 

I am so beyond thankful for him- I have a hard time even writing down something sappy here! I could have never imagined all those years ago getting set up on a blind date with you that we would be here! We've been through great times, sad times, new houses, new jobs, trying to figure out this parenting thing, build businesses, and so much more! No one has ever been such an encouragement to me and my dreams than he has. Seeing him as a Dad is just a completely different level of falling in love with someone! 

Quick backstory- we met on a blind date- that I got tricked into going on! From there, we hit it off right away and started dating! We dated for almost two years before getting married! We got married on a hot, sunny day in July in Virginia Beach at the Campus of Regent University. It was so much fun- hot, but a blast! For real where my love for weddings began! 

It was SO much fun looking back over photos from over the years for this post! There's some from the beginning of us dating, our engagement, the honeymoon, wedding, and life after marriage with the birth of Emmie, preschool graduation and our newest little guy, Sully! What an amazing life we're building! I am just so thankful! 

John & Yulanda: A Tresca on 8th in downtown Lynchburg, Virginia Wedding

John & Yulanda's Wedding day started in Appomattox, Virginia at their family church. Surrounded by their amazing group of family & friends, they said their vows & became husband & wife! After that, the celebration headed to downtown Lynchburg, Virginia where they had their reception at the gorgeous Tresca on 8th! 

I loved Yulanda's choice of accessories & her dress was amazing!! The blush pink tones of her dress were accented with the beading of her veil, her shoes, and her bridesmaids dresses! They have such an amazing group of friends and family that were there celebrating with them! Just seeing their large wedding party itself showed how loved these two are! The church was packed and the reception was full of hugs and celebration! 

Thanks to the amazing vendors that made this day so perfect!

Intimate Sherando Lake Wedding || James & Claudia

James & Claudia planned the most perfect wedding celebration! They decided to do an elopement-style at a place that was near and dear to their hearts, Sherando Lake in Central Virginia. They had only the closest family members and friends there with them, and wait until you see the views! When we were there for their engagement session, they talked about how they just wanted a relaxing day to celebrate while feeling like they were at a back-yard BBQ and man, did they pull it off- plus they had a food truck serving dinner for everyone! YUM!!
