Are you using Snap Chat? || Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

Yet again, I'm totally going to sound old today, but I want to chat about Snapchat!! Just last year, a friend told me I needed to download the app, but I thought it was just for sending inappropriate pictures! haha! 

Once I started actively using it more, following more friends, I totally started loving it!! I love that I get to show interactions with people on a personal level, and that it doesn't have to be perfect! The fact that the snap gets deleted 24 hours after I post it means I don't care if my make up is done, if I sound stupid, etc! I get to show the behind the scenes between my business, weddings, and family life! Let's be honest, a lot more of Emmie than anything else, but goodness that girl says some freaking hilarious things!! 

Just know, if you download the app today, it isn't the most user friendly social media application, but with a little bit of trial and error, you'll totally learn!!

-Funny things your child says/does (some of my favorites are from Emmie throwing fits! haha)

-ANYTHING! Really, that's what's awesome about Snap Chat!!

Coleton & Elizabeth's engagement session || Downtown Lynchburg, VA Engagement Photographer

I looooooooove that I have some super awesome couples that are braving the cold and getting their engagement photos done this winter!! I was so excited to have our engagement session with Coleton & Elizabeth- when I first met with them a few months ago, it totally felt like I was catching up with old friends! They are the sweetest couple, are always laughing & smiling and so down-to-earth! What could be better!!?! 

We met up in downtown Lynchburg and got some photos on the streets in Lynchburg and then headed over to Percival's Island on the Blackwater Running Trails!

I am so in love with this beautiful Trivium Estates Wedding! Jim & Jennifer are so adorable- and we had the best time at their relaxed and laid-back Friday wedding! These two were so calm, I think we started annoying them by asking them if they needed anything! ;) That's what a good wedding planner (ahem, Heidi at the Trivium) and an organized couple will get you!! 

Everything about their wedding was gorgeous- from Jenn's dress- her unique bouquet (complete with decorative kale!!), her ahhhh-mazing shoes (no, seriously- wait till you see them!), their beer loving hand-made bar, to their awesome friends & family surrounding them to celebrate their big day! 

(what did I tell you about those SHOESSSSS!!?!?! Jenn- I'm stealing these!!!) 

Jim & Jenn opted for a First Look- and it was so adorable! I love seeing these guys and their amazing reactions to seeing their brides for the first time!!! 

Jim & Jennifer choose to have their ceremony out at the Arbor at The Trivium- with the GORGEOUS views overlooking the mountains!! 

The Trivium has this AMAZING car- so we of course had to get photos with it! It's absolutely GORGEOUS!

Can I just say I've never been so excited to see the sunshine back! Lynchburg got hit with about 2 weeks straight of rain and mist and fog- which means lots and lots of rescheduling! 

I am so excited to share the Cox Family photos! I go way back with this family! Lisa used to be my piano teacher & I babysat Mason back in Virginia Beach! They moved out to Lynchburg a few years ago and I was so thrilled when they contacted me to get some updated family photos! This family is the sweetest and we had such a great time chatting, laughing and catching up! Plus, they are beautiful and so photogenic- made my job SO easy!!
