Carter's Mountain Orchard

Weekend Update || Central Virginia Backyard Wedding, cooler weather, and reconnecting time

Happy Monday! I know, I'm in the minority here, but I actually like Monday's because they are my "get things done" day! Emerson is back in school, and I get to start the new week with my cup of coffee, my to do list written out and diving into the wedding photos from over the weekend!

I couldn't wait until Wednesday's wedding post to share some photos from Hunter & Robyn's wedding! Their day was so sweet- and the weather cooled off and stayed shady for their full ceremony! They had a beautiful first look moment, and so many friends and family there to celebrate with them!

Sunday was a fun, relaxing day where we welcomed the cooler weather, extra cups of coffee, and even made chili and salted caramel cookies together! I love those slower days where we're able to prepare for the week and reconnect!

How was your weekend! Is it finally cooling off there?

Charlottesville Family Photographer: a trip to the apple orchard...

AKA- It is officially FALL!

Before having Emmie we were super spontaneous.  We had  free weekends all the time, and never really had to consult our schedule when wanting to do something.  Somehow, since Emmie was born, our calendar has filled up, and we have to plan fun outings in advance. I'm not complaining one bit- a big reason for our busy schedule is this business- something I'm so thankful for!

This weekend trip was special because it was planned so last minute. Like, the night before we were having dinner celebrating Mike's birthday and decided to go the next day!

I grew up going to the Carter's Mountain Orchard, and was so excited to start bringing Emmie with us! This is one of our friend traditions now, and we all just love it! This is our third year packing up and heading out there with our babies!

Last year:

And the year before... apparently we didn't get a GROUP photo! But look how little our babies are!

It can be a lot of work, but so worth it! If not for the apple cider donuts alone! ;)
