Brian & Emily’s Wedding was such a stunning day! I LOVE shooting at Melrose Caverns- there’s a gorgeous farmhouse to get ready in, beautiful open fields, the stone work, everything is gorgeous!

Emily started by getting ready with her best friend, Mom and Mother-in-Law to be. The sweetest moments between her Mom had us all in tears! Because the fear of rain coming all day, we worked SO fast, and then lucked out because it never started raining… so we got lots and lots of portraits! Their ceremony was so sweet and overlooked the beautiful stone historical building! Right into their reception, which was so much fun! Their guests had the best time celebrating together!

I just love these two so much- they are so sweet and so much fun! Congrats you two! Hope you’re having the best time on your honeymoon!!

Fall wedding season has officially begun and I cannot even begin to think of a wedding that was better suited to kick off the season! David and Allie got married at the Barn at Kline’s Mill right outside of Harrisonburg, Virginia and I am OBSESSED with their wedding day and both of them!

Allie was easily the happiest, most joyful bride ever! She was radiating joy all day and her bridesmaids and family were the sweetest people ever! We loved being there through the getting ready moments with them all, through the ceremony, portrait time, and reception. Let me tell you guys something- these two are LOVED and you could tell on their wedding day! I was smiling the entire time through culling and editing their sneak peek and had the hardest time narrowing their photos down to a blog post! A great problem to have!

These two have been dating since high school and together for over eight years! This day was a long time coming! The foggy weather and misty ceremony didn’t even make them bat an eye- they were just so thrilled to be here in this moment!

Melrose Cavern's Lodge Wedding in Harrisonburg, VA || Chase & Courtney

As we are all hunkering down expecting the winds and rains from Hurricane Florence to begin, here, in Central Virginia, I thought it would be the perfect time to share this gorgeous wedding that somehow dodged the rain so Courtney could have the outdoor ceremony that she had been dreaming about!

Chase & Courtney’s wedding day began with a downpour, and we were certain the entire thing would be moved inside- even the amazing wedding planner moved the reception tables and set up the chairs for the ceremony. About 10 or 15 minutes before it was scheduled to start, the rain stopped and everything cleared up. Courtney decided to go for it, and oh my goodness, I am so glad she did as it didn’t rain for the rest of the evening!

The grounds at Melrose Cavern Lodge in Harrisonburg, Virginia were beyond gorgeous! It felt like we were at a wedding in a Disney Movie! Tucked away, surrounded by glowy lights and greenery with the most gorgeous arbor. I cannot wait to return!

On Sunny Slope Farm Wedding in Harrisonburg, VA || Cj & Danielle

Oh guys! This wedding is so gorgeous!! I am so excited to be sharing today!! Cj and Danielle got married at On Sunny Slope Farm in Harrisonburg, Virginia on Saturday! They were so lucky with the most amazing April weather, warm, sunny and in the 70's! Especially considering that it snowed in Central Virginia just 5 days before! 

I first met Danielle last year when I was visiting one of my old brides, turned friend, in Florida. Dani was her son's nanny and I was SO excited when she called and told me she had gotten engaged just a few months after my visit! We did their engagement photos out in the Harrisonburg area & I quickly fell in love with DJ & Dani as a couple! 

Our Associate Shooters, Rhiannon & Heather did such an amazing job! I loved going through all their images and seeing Cj & Dani's wedding- it really was almost like I was there! From seeing the excitement of the getting ready room, the anticipation of the first look, the joy of the ceremony, and the celebration during the reception! Dani made the most stunning bride- and wait until you see these sunset portraits! Oh my goodness! 

Congratulations CJ & Danielle! We are all so excited for you guys! Enjoy your honeymoon so so much! I cannot wait to hear how it goes!!
