CARTER & LIDDY || Boonsboro Country Club Wedding

Boonsboro Country Club in Lynchburg, Virginia

I am SO excited to share photos from Cater & Liddy’s GORGEOUS wedding day! They initially planned to get married in July, but pushed their date back to November to help keep their friends and family safe. We truly had the perfect day- the most gorgeous weather, an amazing vendor team that kept things running seamlessly!

Liddy & Carter got ready at the beautiful Boonsboro Country Club, where we did a beautiful no peek first look! They were SO brave and we were able to get some photos of the two of them during the daylight! Carter kept his eyes closed and we were able to soak up some golden light before dark! Their ceremony was at St John’s Episcopal Church, and then back to Boonsboro for a gorgeous reception where the venue was transformed and an amazing band!

Congratulations again Carter & Liddy! So happy for you guys!!

JUSTIN & TABITHA || Lynchburg, Virginia Wedding

Riverview Manor in Hurt, Virginia

AHHHH! I am SO excited to share Justin & Tabitha’s Wedding! These two originally had a March 2020 wedding scheduled, and sadly had to postpone their big wedding. They had a gorgeous elopement at The Peaks of Otter Lodge in Bedford, Virginia! But this past weekend we finally got to celebrate them with their friends and family, out at the gorgeous Riverview Manor in Hurt, Virginia!

The afternoon started with Tabitha and her friends and family getting ready together! Seeing her sweet sisters and Mom help get her in her dress and all dolled up was such a sweet highlight! You can tell these two are so very loved! Their ceremony was just before sunset and overlooked the beautiful fall colors in Central Virginia, and they said their vows, exchanged rings, and even washed each others feet!

Their reception was in the barn at Riverview and seeing all the families and kids dance the night away was such a blast! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many kids on a dance floor before!

Congratulations (again!!) you two! It was such an honor to be a part of your special day!

David & Allie: Southern Fall Wedding in Harrisonburg, Virginia Wedding

Fall wedding season has officially begun and I cannot even begin to think of a wedding that was better suited to kick off the season! David and Allie got married at the Barn at Kline’s Mill right outside of Harrisonburg, Virginia and I am OBSESSED with their wedding day and both of them!

Allie was easily the happiest, most joyful bride ever! She was radiating joy all day and her bridesmaids and family were the sweetest people ever! We loved being there through the getting ready moments with them all, through the ceremony, portrait time, and reception. Let me tell you guys something- these two are LOVED and you could tell on their wedding day! I was smiling the entire time through culling and editing their sneak peek and had the hardest time narrowing their photos down to a blog post! A great problem to have!

These two have been dating since high school and together for over eight years! This day was a long time coming! The foggy weather and misty ceremony didn’t even make them bat an eye- they were just so thrilled to be here in this moment!

THANK YOU to the amazing vendors that made this day so perfect!

Just got engaged.... Now what?! Creating a Wedding Inspiration Board

Did you just get engaged?! Congrats!! I know you’re feeling so excited… but maybe also a little overwhelmed and don’t even know where to begin with planning your wedding?! Trust me, I totally understand! There are so many big decisions to be made, which can seem impossible when you aren’t even sure what direction you want to go in! Which is why, I think the very first step that can be SO helpful is to create an inspiration board for your wedding! A mood board is simply a tool to help you visually create your wedding day. Creating a wedding mood board will help you to zero in on your wedding aesthetic, nail down your details, and even your style!

This isn’t where you are making all of your final decisions, so don’t worry about stressing about the perfect bridesmaids dresses, but instead draw inspiration from other weddings and images that you love. From here, you’ll be able to discover your palette, style, and design details! This should be not only how you want your wedding to look, but also how you want it to feel!

Help everyone be on the same page. Wether you’re creating a tangible mood board or electronic, being able to share and show friends, family, planners, and wedding vendors, will help everyone see your vision and help you to execute it!

Happy New Year! A look over 2019! || Lynchburg Wedding & Portrait Photographer

Happy New Year Friends!

If you’re starting out this new year with me, know that I am just so thankful!

Lynchburg and Charlottesville Wedding and Family Photographer || www.ashleyeiban.com

2019 was overall a great year for us in the Eiban house! I took a few steps back from my photography business to be able to focus on a growing baby, who is now a full fledged toddler, and our daughter who is practically a teenager now at 8! ;) I will never understand how fast the years fly and how much they grow in a year!!

To think we’re at the end of a decade and how much our lives have truly changed in the last 10 years! We have bought a house, shot my first wedding, had our first baby girl, changed jobs, renovated a house, started preschool, changed jobs again, found our favorite beach location, sold a house, bought a new house, gone full time with my photography business, started & completed kindergarten, joined a swim team, had a baby boy, made some amazing friends that have turned into family, traveled, grown, and so much more! It’s so fun, and crazy, to look back over the last 10 years and see where we are now. I am just so thankful for where life has gone!

As an enneagram 1, you know I’m always a fan of the New Year. I love the Fresh Start- the brand new planner pages, goals, and the motivation and organization that January brings with it! (As I’m typing this, I’m also writing out a list on how to organize the kids toys better! ha!)

I usually think through a “word for the year” but haven’t this year, and I’m going to give myself some grace this year, with the craziness of the holidays, burn out being SO real, and balancing family and work and house and friends- you get it! But, I want to know, do you have a word for this year? What are your main goals for this year?!
