We are busily getting our house together for the Christmas season. One of my absolute favorite things about this time of year is Christmas cards. Crazy, I know.. but I love getting something in the mail other than bills and advertisements- especially from our awesome friends and family!

Popping in real quick on this Tuesday morning to share some images of this beautiful girl! Amanda is the sweetest girl from Brookville High School in Lynchburg, Virginia! We headed out to Smith Mountain Lake, her home away from home, for her senior portraits. I love that she wanted to get photos at the place she loves and waited until the Fall to get the amazing colors in as well! I am so in love with every single image- I had the hardest time even choosing which ones to share first!! Be sure to stop back in soon to see the rest of her session!

While I do LOVE summer, mostly because I hate being cold, this is my favorite time of the year. Starting the Christmas shopping and decorating, Thanksgiving, boots, the coffee (haha of course!) and the beautiful trees! Just the best backgrounds ever! The Klinger family wanted to get some updated family photos in their new town (yay Lynchburg!) with the fall trees and some country/barn feel! We found the perfect country setting for their beautiful family session!
The Klingers were such troopers today! It was so so so cold, but these kids were AWESOME! We may or may not have bribed them with Halloween candy, and told them "this is the very last picture!" about 10 (or more) times! ha!

We had the best time celebrating Halloween this year! Emmie FINALLY decided on a kitty cat costume, after debating about 4 million other ideas. ;) Her preschool threw such a fun fall festival where we got to dress up, paint pumpkins, play games, pet bunnies that weighed as much as her, meet THE princess Anna, and even go on pony rides! She LOVED it!
I took the day off of work, and she adored running errands with me in her kitty cat costume. We went to lunch (Poke-E-Joes! Lynchburg and Central Virginia friends- you MUST eat here! A local favorite!!) She even asked some random guy on the street downtown Lynchburg... why he "didn't tell me i looked cute in my kitty cat costume." hahaha think she heard that a lot on Friday?!
This below is probably my favorite picture of the day. One of Emmie's best friends at school is a boy (yes... Mike HATES this!!). They totally looked like they planned their outfits to go together, but didn't. Then they went trick or treating through the administration offices holding hands like this! So precious!
Then of course I had to get some photos of just Emmie in her costume. She loves getting in front of the camera these days... especially when there's a candy bribe! ha.
And, this is a family photo from trick-or-treating! Just with my iPhone, but still wanted to share! :) I made the decision to not bring my camera to trick-or-treating and it was SO nice to be in the moment and enjoying it! It's all about balance! ;)

So so so excited to share a brief glimpse of John & Sam's wedding!! They had a beautiful country fall themed wedding at The Trivium, in Forest, Virginia. The weather made the most perfect day and they are the cutest couple! I love couples that are just so in love I don't even have to pose them or tell them what to do! They just cuddle up and love on each other!!
