Nate & Chloe: Lynchburg, Virginia Family Session

These two cuties hold such a special place in my heart! I babysat Nate from the time he was 12 weeks old.. .and here he is 2.5! No matter how many times I tell them to stop growing up, they just keep getting bigger! I can't believe Chloe is over 6 months old now! But it's so fun and rewarding to have your kids and their friends growing up to these fun and energetic little people with oh so much personality! ;) 

Hard to believe that the weather here was nice enough for short sleeves just a few weeks ago! Now there's snow on the ground and temps have been hitting record lows. Oh Virginia!! But, I'll take the warm days- they help keep me sane until Spring comes for good! 

And since Emmie came along with me on this fun little shoot... I of course had to get a shot of these sweet friends! 

And.. I have to share this one! This entire shoot wasn't all smiles and giggles! Working with kids takes patience! :) 

I'm so ready for Spring and Sunshine now! Melt snow MELT!! 

Our Family: a Lynchburg, Virginia Snow Day!

Emmie has been praying "deep, deep snow and a blizzard" since Halloween. Every evening we lay her down and take turns praying, but her prayers have been the same.  So when we got our first big snow this year, we were all pretty excited for her! (and for the time off of work!) 

Alina Thomas Photography, another local Lynchburg, VA photographer and sweet friend volunteered to swap some fun snow day photos of our families! You can view the photos I took of her adorable family here! And I'm so excited to share these beautiful images she took of our family!

Justin & Meghan: a snowy, Lynchburg, VA proposal!

Guys!! I am so so so so excited to share this beautiful proposal with you! They have such an incredible love story and it was such an honor to be able a part of their engagement!! We had initially planned to sneak out and do the proposal Saturday, but when the weathermen started calling for another snow day, Justin texted and we started plotting! I hid out behind a rock in the woods waiting for them to walk by! 

Justin and Meghan walked by, stopped to take a picture, and then he got down on one knee.  And I was hiding in the woods capturing the moment! It was so sweet, Meghan instantly said YES! 

We then got some fun photos of them! They are such a cute couple and I loved how sweet and affectionate they are towards each other! I had to give almost no direction, they were just kissing and snuggling up all on their own! We had just so much fun together and ahhhhhhh the snow made the perfect backdrop! :) 

Aren't they just the cutest? Thanks again Justin & Meghan for the honor of photographing your proposal! It was such a privilege to be invited into a special moment! 

Snowy Day: Lynchburg, VA Family Photography

I have been waiting for a big snowstorm ALL winter! Just enough snow to get outside to play with Emmie, make some delicious snow ice cream, and of course, get some time off of work! ;) We were so very excited for this snowstorm- and even more excited to swap some fun snowy day photos with Alina and her family! Alina is a local photographer and one I am so excited to befriend! Her family is so precious and braved the freeeeeezing cold snowy day at The Trivium Estates in Lynchburg, Virginia!
