On the Glen at Glenburn Farms Wedding || Josh & Jenny

Oh my goodness am I SO excited to share this wedding today! Josh & Jenny have been dating since HIGH SCHOOL- and have survived through 11 years of dating, long-distance, college, and so much more! You really could just feel how thrilled they were to be at this point, and that their families were so glad to be uniting! Their wedding at Glenburn Farms was so beautiful! It was the most perfect fall weather, blue skies, and the mountain views! Seriously, picture heaven!! 

They had the sweetest no peek where they exchanged letters and a prayer with each other. I swear, I will never not cry in those moments! They are the sweetest!! I wasn't alone in my reactions seeing Jenny walk down the aisle and Josh start crying.  Then every time Jenny looked up at Josh during the ceremony she started tearing up.  Gah my heart!!

We snuck out for some sunset portraits after dinner and OH MY GOSH was it perfection! I swear I could have stayed out there forever with these two!! Their reception was SO much fun- literally everyone was on the dance floor- even Jenny's grandma got out there and danced with everyone!!

Weekend Update: Roanoke, VA Wedding & Fall Mini Sessions

It's officially October, which means it's officially my busiest time of year! Shooting 7 weddings this month, and lots and lots of family sessions, means that there'll be a lot to share, yet not a lot of time to share it! I'm working on maintaining balance with my kindergartner and workload, which means that some things just aren't going to happen! I'm planning on writing a blog post about surviving the crazy, hopefully I'll get that written and published before the end of the month! ;)  

This weekend was so much fun! We had an amazing wedding in Roanoke, at Glenburn Farms in Vinton, Virginia celebrating Josh & Jenny! Their wedding was SO gorgeous I cannot wait to share their entire blog post!! 

I also held some Fall mini-sessions on Sunday afternoon! These can be exhausting, but also super fun because I get to meet some amazing families & update their family photos and this year was no exception! I'm so excited to share some of the photos from this weekend! 

Roanoke, Virginia Engagement Session || Josh and Jennifer

You guys- oh my goodness! For John & Jennifer's engagement session we headed back to where it all began- their grade school, where they attended school dances, played on sports teams together, and graduated. It was so amazing to step back in history with them- to hear their stories and see first hand where they ate lunch together, passed notes in the hallway and sat in class together! 

Luckily for them, the grounds around the school are seriously gorgeous, so we walked around, laughing, catching up, and got some awesome photos!

Downtown Roanoke Engagement Session || Central Virginia wedding and portrait photographer

Whenever I get to explore new areas for photo sessions, I have such a great time! I was so excited to head to downtown Roanoke this week for Chris & Katie's engagement session! These two are so much fun and really had me laughing our entire time together! You know the couple that gets engaged on a glacier in Iceland is going to be amazing!!

They live in the Roanoke area, so it was so awesome to see some of their favorite spots around town! We started at the Mill Mountain Coffee shop- how every engagement session should start in my opinion! ;)  We walked around downtown, there really are some of the coolest buildings and spots downtown.  

After walking all around downtown, we headed up to the Mill Mountain Star that overlooks all of Roanoke.  Talk about a view! For some reason, I hadn't ever been up there- but I'm so glad they added this to the list!
